We view the phrase “METT-TC dependent” as a copout. It is usually said by people who do not take the time to explain what METT-TC is or, quite frankly, they’ve just heard someone else say it so now they say it too.

The military is full of acronyms and it can be pretty daunting, so we wrote a brief introduction and overview that will likely serve as a refresher if you are already familiar with it or as an introduction to those of you that have seen it before but have never received an explanation.
