Since the tragic Uvalde shooting, the demand for body armor, rifle plates, and bulletproof children’s backpacks has been very high. We are doing our best to keep armor in stock, and recently got another shipment of L210's in this week. It may not last long, but more is already on the way.
Despite the incredibly high demand for body armor, the New York Governor and Legislature just passed an entire salvo of new restrictions, like raising the legal age to purchase a rifle to 21, increasing the number of people who can file a red flag report, and of course, banning the civilian purchase of some types of body armor. That’s right, the same people who are hyperventilating about the need to protect citizens from rifle bullets are also criminalizing civilians wearing something that... stops rifle bullets.
However, even as we watch the continuing efforts to limit the defensive capability of regular American, we do have some good news this week. We are lowering the prices of the AC1 by $25-30. Our goal has always been to bring you good gear at an affordable cost, and after a few adventures working with different vendors, fighting our way through a few supply line issues, and finally being able to get large quantities, we are able to bring the price down to $160 (or $165 for Multicam), and we are also lowering the Ready Rig from $130 down to $110.
