The SureFire M340DFT is the new high-output addition to the SureFire small body rifle light lineup. With an impressive output of 95,000 candela, the M340DFT is an excellent option for those of you who want a more focused, long-distance light on your rifle. It easily punches through fog and photonic barriers. The M340DFT offers 650 lumens and 95,000 candela with a single 18350 or 350 lumens and 55,000 candela with a single CR123.

The future of weapon-mounted lights is leaning heavily towards 18350 and 18650 rechargeable batteries. These batteries are part of what allow these high-output lights to function well. However, some people prefer running CR123's because they are more commonly found in stores, and are consistent with many other electronics that may be on their rifle, such as IR lasers, optics, etc. Thankfully, SureFire integrated Dual Fuel technology into their M340DFT, allowing you to use a single 18350 rechargeable battery or a single CR123 battery. The output and runtime differ depending on which battery you choose. Either way, it is still impressive.
